Lake County Achieves Effective Zero Homeless Veteran Population

I am so proud of Lake County for achieving an EFFECTIVE ZERO veteran homeless population based on criteria developed by the Federal Government, which considers zero to mean that no veteran who wants housing is either experiencing long term or chronic homelessness without access to a bed to sleep in.

Led by the Lake County Coalition for the Homeless, Lake County Government and the Lovell Federal Healthcare Center (Lovell FHCC), Lake County is now among an elite group of communities throughout the nation that has officially ended veteran homelessness, based on certifications from both the federal government and Built for Zero, a national nonprofit organization.
